Mayo or bust! As a child I was always taught to lend a foot up to others when in need. I have been very fortunate to touch many lives in small ways of kindness. However, I find myself needing a foot up. My daughter has been chronically ill for 3 years. She sufferes a constantly severe migraine and has been identified with a multitude of symptoms without an underlying diagnosis. All savings and valued items have been utilized for her medical care. She has missed all of her high school years due to this illness. We are at the point her doctors are wanting to send her to the Mayo Clinic for possible answers. Prayer and grace have brought us this far. I am placing my faith in you to help defray cost of this trip. I am the breadwinner of the family. My husband is handicapped and confined to a wheelchair and unable to assist financially. I would have to go with our daughter and thus forgo income currently coming into the home. Because I work (very limited as of late due to hospitalizations) I make just enough to not qualify for SSI assistance. Our monthly medical bills are often in access of $2000.00 with insurance. We are in danger of losing our home the only tangible item we have left. Please help us find answers and more importantly regain my child's life.
